Privacy Policy

Fewer creepy surprises than your average group chat.

We collect the data we need to run TRIGR, not the creepy “sell your soul to ad tech” kind, more the “make login work and keep DOPE cards attached to the right human” kind. Revolutionary, we know.

This Privacy Policy is published by Creative Lid LLC (“TRIGR,” “we,” “us”).

What we collect

  • Account identifiers such as email, display name, Sign in with Apple identifiers, Google sign-in identifiers when you use Android or web Google sign-in, and authentication tokens. Apple may share a Hide My Email relay address. We do not receive your Apple ID or Google account password.
  • Profile and app content you create: firearms, optics, ammo, setups, environments, DOPE, training sessions, drill results, notes, and similar intentional inputs.
  • Competition data when you use Compete: matches, participation, stages, scores, rankings, divisions, classifications, categories, penalties, and related match facts. Some of that may come from you, a match organizer, or a file imported from a scoring or results provider.
  • Profile photo, when you set one. On iOS it can sync to your TRIGR account so your other signed-in devices can show it. It is not a public gallery.
  • Location, only if you ask the app to fill weather for an environment (when-in-use, not background tracking). Coordinates go to a weather lookup so we can suggest atmosphere fields. We store the weather numbers you save on the environment, not a continuous location history.
  • Microphone, when you run the shot timer (on-device audio processing). Camera, when you photograph a paper target for on-device zeroing or range. Camera and photo library, when you set a profile photo. Target video is not saved or uploaded by default.
  • Technical diagnostics: server and app logs, device or app version when you contact support, and similar operational signals. We do not currently ship a third-party crash-analytics SDK.
  • Support messages you send through the contact form or in-app support, including the email and text you submit.

Why we collect it

To authenticate you, sync your data where the product supports it, run matches and results, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and keep billing status straight with Apple or Google Play. We do not run a side hustle selling your ballistics loadout to random vendors.

Competition and imported results

Compete stores match context so directors, range officers, and shooters can run a club night and read results later. A match roster and scores are shared historical records for that match, not a private social graph. TRIGR may receive competition information from you, from a match organizer inside TRIGR, or from an import file produced by a scoring or results provider. Provider-sourced facts can have a lifecycle independent of your TRIGR login. We do not scrape third-party websites for your results.

Sharing

  • Infrastructure providers who host the database, the website, the API, and transactional email (contact form, password resets, and match invite mail), under agreements that expect them not to gossip.
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store billing and subscription status).
  • Google (Sign in with Google on Android and web when you use it, and Google Play billing when Android subscriptions apply). Android is not a public consumer product until published on Google Play.
  • Weather lookup: when you request location weather, approximate coordinates are sent to the weather service we call for that lookup.
  • Other people on a match you join or organize can see roster and result fields needed to run and review that match (name, division, scores, and similar).
  • Law enforcement when required by law, preferably with paperwork, not a vague DM.

Account deletion

Deleting your TRIGR account is permanent. We disable the account so it can no longer sign in, revoke session access, remove or anonymize personal profile and authentication identifiers (including Apple and Google sign-in identifiers where stored), remove private app data from your account (gear, DOPE, training, environments, synced profile photo, and similar), unlink your competition memberships, and sign you out on that device.

Where Sign in with Apple was used, we revoke Apple authorization when we have the credentials needed to call Apple’s revoke API.

Historical competition information may remain in a limited, privacy-safe form so completed matches, standings, rankings, scores, and other competitors’ records stay accurate: on native TRIGR matches your roster identity is anonymized; on results imported from an independent scoring provider, the source display name may remain as part of that provider-sourced match record while the link to your deleted TRIGR account is removed. We do not claim that account deletion removes all historical competition records.

Deleting a TRIGR account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel billing in the store account settings. Sign out only ends the session on that device. It does not delete your account.

Retention

We keep account and app data while your account is active. After deletion, personal identifiers and private account data are removed or anonymized as described above. A minimal non-active record may remain so the same internal id cannot quietly come back as a live account, and so shared historical records stay consistent. Soft-deleted private rows are excluded from normal product use.

Support ticket text may remain after we clear the account link and replace the ticket email, until we purge it under an operations policy. App Store notification and billing logs may remain as needed to reconcile purchases and prevent fraud. Encrypted database backups or point-in-time recovery history may still contain deleted information until those backups cycle out. Restoring a backup does not resurrect a deleted account as an active login. Ask via the contact form if you need current operational detail about backup windows.

Your choices

Sign out (Account on iOS or Android) ends that device’s session and does not delete your data. On iOS, Account → Delete account starts permanent deletion as described above. Type DELETE to confirm. Web and Android account deletion can also be requested through the contact form if you cannot use the iOS control. Manage App Store subscriptions under Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions (or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Manage Google Play subscriptions in Play Store subscription settings when Play billing applies. You can revoke location, microphone, and camera permission in system Settings; TRIGR then cannot use those features until you allow them again. We do not sell your personal information.

Security

TLS in transit, access controls on account APIs, hashed passwords where a password exists (operator or web password accounts), and enough paranoia to sleep poorly during incidents. If you find a vulnerability, tell us through the contact form instead of live-tweeting the exploit chain.

Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing (for example under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws). Use the contact form, name your jurisdiction, and say what you need. We handle requests through that channel. This page is not legal advice.
